Under  the name of ARABIAN HERITAGE SOURCE Gabriele Seidlitz-Oster and Dr. Matthias Oster are engaged in the fascination of breeding Straight Egyptian Arabians. The foundation of our breeding was layed by Gabriele´s father, the late Günter W. Seidlitz, breeder of such reknowned individuals as MESSAOUD, JKB MASOUDA or MONTASAR, full siblings by MADKOUR Or.Ar. and MAYMOONAH. Our starting mares consisted of three Dahmah Shahwaniah daughters of the Top Ten Mare at Asil Cup and Egyptian Event Europe, MAAREESA by MONTASAR:  MARQUEESA and MABROUKA, both by ANSATA AMIR ZAMAN, and MARAH by AUTHENTIC IBN NAWAAL. And one Koheilah Ajuzah mare, the last daughter of NAGHA by GHARIB, a dressage -horse lineage (more information on them under memories).

Our studfarm is situated  in northern Bavaria, Germany. In order to widen the genetic pool ARABIAN HERITAGE SOURCE has searched for stallions that contribute new lines without changing our goals or loosing the qualities the Seidlitz horses are known for. Our breeding strives to preserve the classical lines of our horses, avoiding horses with unclear ancestors, and at the same time enforce true Arabian type, a man-loving character, rideability, substance and overall high quality. Beeing a veterinarian equine practitioner and an agricultural engineer respectively, our rather small breeding farm can offer a wide range of skills and expertise. We are members of ASIL CLUB and PYRAMID SOCIETY EUROPE and serve as members of the board in both breeding societies. Also Matthias is a founding member of the Arabian Horse Manifesto and a member of the board of al-Itaq, an organization founded in 2023.

 

Our search of new blood has culminated in the import of the classic stallion SAFEEN from Israel back in 2008. SAFEEN, his children, and nowadays his grand-grand-children have been a true gift of God for us.
